What German law says about THC vapes

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the main psychoactive component of the cannabis plant and falls under the Narcotics Act (BtMG) in Germany. Since 1 April 2024, the Consumer Cannabis Act (KCanG) additionally regulates the possession and cultivation of small amounts of cannabis for adults under strict conditions. The free online sale of THC-containing vape products is not provided for under either framework. Exceptions exist only in narrow medical contexts via pharmacies – not in open retail.

On top of that: after the ban on HHC in June 2024 and the regulation of 10-OH-HHC in December 2025, the list of semi-synthetic cannabinoid alternatives that may still be legally offered has become considerably shorter. Reputable shops in Germany have adjusted their range accordingly – providers who nevertheless continue to sell THC, HHC or 10-OH-HHC vapes are almost without exception not based in Germany and leave their customers out in the legal rain.

No. HHZ is its own cannabinoid with its own chemical profile. The user experience is described by many users as cannabis-like, but legally HHZ is currently not regulated and is therefore freely tradeable.
